CORREX® Protection Sheet Boards 2.4m x 1.2m – 3mm Thick

The 3mm CORREX® sheet is the go-to protection board on most job sites. At 2.4m x 1.2m, it covers a full sheet area cleanly and is thick enough to handle foot traffic, dropped tools and general site abuse without splitting or buckling. CORREX® is a registered trademark of Corplex, and this fluted polypropylene sheet is the material most tradespeople think of when they need temporary surface protection that actually works.

Three millimetres hits the sweet spot for most applications. Thinner than 3mm and you start to feel every footstep through it. Thicker and it becomes harder to cut cleanly and carry in bulk. The 3mm correx sheet gives you enough rigidity to bridge gaps and cover uneven surfaces while staying light enough to move around quickly between rooms.

The fluted construction, two flat skins with hollow channels running between them, keeps the sheet stiff without adding weight. Each sheet weighs very little, which matters when you are carrying a bundle up three flights of stairs or loading out at the end of a job. The material is waterproof throughout, so spills, wet boots and damp subfloors are not a problem.

Where CORREX® 3mm Protection Sheets Get Used

These sheets are used across the building trades as a first fix after flooring is laid or where new surfaces need protecting during follow-on trades. Decorators, kitchen fitters, flooring contractors and site managers all use them for the same reason: they are quick to lay, easy to cut with a stanley knife, and they come back off cleanly without leaving residue or causing damage underneath.

The 2.4m x 1.2m size works across stairways, hallways, kitchens and open-plan areas. Sheets can be overlapped and taped at joints to create a continuous run. Available in white, black or translucent, so you can choose based on whether you need to see the floor underneath or prefer a clean visual on site.

Buying in Quantity

CORREX® protection sheets are available individually or in packs of 10, 20 and 50. For larger sites or house builders protecting multiple plots, buying a full pack of 50 brings the cost per sheet down significantly. A single sheet at this thickness and size is one of the cheapest ways to avoid a flooring damage claim, which puts the cost in perspective fairly quickly.

If you need more or less rigidity, this sheet is also available in 2mm and 4mm thicknesses. The 2mm suits lighter-duty protection or ceiling protection applications, while the 4mm is better where heavy equipment or pallet trucks will be crossing the surface.
