Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This policy explains how Discount Trade Supplies Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on discount-trade-supplies.com. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle your personal data more broadly.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Some keep your basket from emptying itself. Others tell us how people find the site. They can’t run programs or read other files on your device.
Cookies We Use
The table below lists the main cookies you may meet on our site. It is a guide, not a promise that nothing else will ever appear: plug-ins and providers change, and your browser’s cookie viewer always shows the current picture.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| woocommerce_items_in_cart, woocommerce_cart_hash | Keeps track of what is in your basket so it is there when you reach checkout. | Browser session |
| wp_woocommerce_session_* | Holds your basket and checkout details while you shop. | About 2 days |
| wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*, wordpress_test_cookie | Keep you signed in to your account and check that your browser accepts cookies. | Browser session, or up to 14 days if you choose to stay signed in |
| sbjs_* | Record how you arrived at our site, such as a search or a link, so we can see which sources bring in orders. | From 30 minutes to about 6 months |
| Payment provider cookies (Worldpay, PayPal) | Set by our payment providers when you pay, to process the payment securely and help prevent fraud. | Set by the provider. See their policies. |
Why We Use Them
Essential cookies make the shop work: the basket, checkout, sign-in and security. The site can’t function properly without them.
Analytics and attribution cookies help us understand how visitors reach and use the site, so we can fix what is confusing and stock what people are looking for. We use this information in aggregate.
Third-Party Content
Some parts of the page come from other companies. Our fonts are served by Adobe Fonts, and our maps use tiles from OpenStreetMap. Your browser contacts those services directly when the page loads, so they receive your IP address and may set their own cookies. Payment pages are run by Worldpay or PayPal.
Managing Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you do it per site. Blocking essential cookies will stop parts of the shop working, and your basket may not hold. The Information Commissioner’s Office explains how to control cookies on your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our site or the law changes. The latest version is always on this page.
