Champion galvanised angled nail gun brads are a reliable choice for internal second-fix carpentry. The 20-degree collation angle fits angled brad nailers from a range of manufacturers, and the T-head profile sits flush or just below the surface, leaving a clean, near-invisible fixing point. Whether you are running skirting boards, fitting architrave, or pinning tongue and groove cladding, these nails keep the job looking tidy without needing to punch and fill every single head.
The shank design is engineered for low penetration resistance, which means the nail drives cleanly through timber without splitting fine-grained softwood or pushing material out of position. That matters when you are working close to an edge on a thin piece of MDF architrave or a narrow section of beading. The galvanised finish adds a layer of corrosion resistance, which is worth having even on internal work where humidity can be a factor — kitchens and bathrooms included.
Where Angled Nail Gun Brads Get Used
These are second-fix nails. You will reach for them once the plastering is done and the room is being fitted out. They are not structural fixings, and they are not intended to be.
Common applications on site
Skirting board installation, door and window architrave, tongue and groove panelling, dado rail, picture rail, stair nosings, and light decorative mouldings are all typical uses. Joiners, shop fitters, and finish carpenters will use these day in, day out. The angled collation is particularly useful when working in tight corners or against walls where a straight nailer would not clear the surface.
Champion brads are compatible with Paslode, Firmahold, Viper, and other angled brad nailers that accept 20-degree collated strips. Each box contains 2000 nails and is supplied with gas, so you can crack on without needing to order a separate fuel cell. Available in five lengths from 32mm through to 64mm, covering most second-fix scenarios in one range.
Pro Tip: If you are fixing skirting to a dot-and-dab wall, use the 50mm or 64mm brads to get enough penetration past the plasterboard into the dabs underneath, otherwise the fixing will feel solid until it does not.
