Jigsaw Blades – Wood Cutting – HCS Blades – T101DP

HCS jigsaw blades with grout and taper ground teeth for clean, precise cuts in wood and plastic. The T101DP is a reliable workhorse blade that handles everything from sheet timber to softwood boards without fuss.
The T101DP HCS wood jigsaw blades are a straight-talking, no-nonsense cutting blade for anyone working regularly with timber, MDF, plywood or plastic sheet. Made from high carbon steel, these 100mm blades are built to hold a sharp edge longer than standard steel alternatives, particularly when cutting at lower temperatures where HCS really earns its keep. If you’re cutting boards in a cold workshop or out on site in February, you’ll notice the difference.
The grout and taper ground teeth are what make these blades worth talking about. GTG tooth geometry means each tooth is individually ground to a precise profile, which translates directly into a cleaner cut face. Less sanding, less cleanup, fewer splinters on your finished edge. For joinery work, furniture fitting, or any job where the cut is going to be visible, that matters.
Where T101DP HCS Wood Jigsaw Blades Fit Into a Working Day
These blades take a standard T-shank fitting, which covers the vast majority of jigsaws on the market. Bosch, Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee — if it takes a T-shank, the T101DP will drop straight in. The 100mm blade length gives you enough depth for most general timber work without the flex you get from longer blades, which helps keep the cut line true.
At 100mm, they’re well suited to cutting timber up to around 60–70mm thick depending on your machine, and they handle plastic sheet cleanly without the chipping or melting you can get from an aggressive tooth pitch.
HCS vs HSS: What Actually Matters on Site
HCS blades like the T101DP are softer than high speed steel, which sounds like a negative but isn’t always. They flex slightly under load rather than snapping, which is a useful quality when you’re cutting curves or working in awkward positions. HSS is harder and better suited to metal. For wood and plastic, HCS is the practical choice.
Sold in packs of five, these are sensible to keep a stock of on the van.
Pro Tip: Run your jigsaw at a higher speed setting with the orbital action engaged for rough cuts in softwood, then switch to a lower speed with orbital action off for clean finish cuts in MDF or hardwood — the blade lasts longer and the cut face is noticeably cleaner.
