This 300ml resin chemical anchor is a styrene free injection resin designed for anchoring threaded rods, bolts and reinforcing bar into masonry, concrete and blockwork. Because it contains no styrene, the smell on site is minimal compared to standard polyester resins — a genuine quality-of-life improvement in enclosed spaces like plant rooms, stairwells or anywhere with limited ventilation. The resin comes in a twin-bag cartridge sized for a standard sealant gun, so there is no specialist equipment to source.

The cartridge is supplied with a static mixer nozzle already attached. You load the gun, push through a short primer bead, then inject directly into the hole. The two-part resin combines as it passes through the nozzle, which removes the guesswork from mixing ratios and keeps the whole process clean and consistent. No paddle mixing, no waste, no mess on the board.

Where This Chemical Anchor Resin Gets Used

Chemical anchoring like this is now a standard method across the trade rather than something for specialist groundworkers. It is used where mechanical expansion anchors are not appropriate — cracked or hollow masonry, close-to-edge fixings, or where the substrate simply will not take the stress of a torqued expansion bolt without breaking out. The resin fills the void around the fixing, bonds to the substrate, and creates a load-bearing connection that expansion anchors genuinely cannot match in weak or fractured material.

Beyond pure anchoring work, this product can also be used as a high-impact structural adhesive where a strong, load-bearing bond is needed between masonry components. It is the kind of thing that quietly solves problems other fixings cannot.

A Practical Note on Cure Times

Like all two-part resin systems, the working time and full cure time are temperature dependent. In cold weather the resin takes longer to set, which matters when you are working on a programme. In warm weather it goes off faster. Factor this in before injecting a full row of fixings on a hot July afternoon and walking away — check the manufacturer guidance for the specific temperature on the day.

Pro Tip: Always discard the first short bead from the nozzle before starting your fixing — the unmixed resin at the very tip of the nozzle will not have combined properly and a weak fixing at the start of a batch is not worth the saving of a few pence of resin.
