Rothenberger RP30 Bar Testing Pump (6.1130-30)

The Rothenberger RP30 is a compact 30 bar pressure testing pump built for domestic pipework and underfloor heating systems. Comes with a steel reinforced test hose to eliminate false readings from hose bulge. Simple single-valve operation, 4.5 litre tank.
The Rothenberger RP30 bar testing pump is a no-nonsense pressure testing tool built for plumbers working on domestic installations. Whether you’re commissioning a new underfloor heating system, testing copper pipework after a refit, or checking a system before handover, the RP30 handles it cleanly. Max pressure is 30 bar (420 PSI), which covers everything you’d encounter in typical residential work without you needing to think twice about whether it’ll reach.
The pump runs on a single-valve system, which keeps operation simple and reduces the chance of user error mid-test. There’s a 4.5 litre water tank built in, more than adequate for filling and pressurising a domestic loop without constantly stopping to top up. Connection is R1/2in BSPT, which is about as standard as it gets for this type of work.
Why the Steel Test Hose Matters on the Rothenberger RP30
One thing worth highlighting is the steel reinforced test hose supplied with the RP30. On cheaper pumps with standard rubber hoses, the hose itself can bulge under pressure, which gives you a false reading and leaves you chasing a leak that isn’t there. The steel braid prevents that. It’s a small detail that saves a lot of frustration on site, especially when a customer is watching over your shoulder waiting for the pressure test certificate.
Built for Tight Spaces
The tank is made from ABS plastic, impact resistant and light enough to carry easily. The overall dimensions are compact, which matters more than people expect. Plant rooms, airing cupboards, and underfloor screed installations rarely leave you much room to manoeuvre, and lugging a full-size pump into a tight space is nobody’s idea of a good day. The RP30 fits where it needs to fit.
Rothenberger equipment has a long track record in the plumbing trade, and the RP30 is a straightforward, well-thought-out tool for a job that needs to be done right. Simple to use, easy to transport, and built to give you accurate results you can sign off on with confidence.
Pro Tip: Always fill the RP30 with clean water before the test and bleed any air from the system first, trapped air compresses under pressure and can cause misleading gauge fluctuations that look like a pressure drop but aren't one.
