Not suitable for: Not suitable as a long-term floor covering on heavy traffic areas where a heavier fabric dust sheet would be more appropriate. The low tack tape is designed for painted and delicate surfaces, so it may not provide sufficient hold on very rough or dusty masonry.
Unroll to the length you need and apply the Precision Edge tape strip to the surface first, pressing it down firmly along its full length. Once the tape is secure, cut the roll at that point, then unfold the polythene sheet downwards to cover the surface below. You can unfold it fully for maximum coverage or only part way if you need less.
On walls, the static charge helps the sheet sit flat rather than billowing outward. For windows, press the tape to the frame or surrounding wall and let the sheet hang across the glass. When you're finished, peel the tape away steadily at a low angle to avoid lifting the surface beneath.

Will the masking tape damage freshly painted walls?
The Precision Edge tape uses a low tack adhesive specifically designed to release cleanly from new and delicate paintwork. As with any masking tape, it is best removed sooner rather than later once the job is done, and always peel at a low angle rather than pulling straight off the wall.
Which width should I choose for ceiling masking?
For most standard ceiling-to-wall joints, the 110cm width gives enough drop to cover the wall adequately when rolling or lightly spraying. If you are spraying with significant overspray or the walls are particularly tall, the 180cm width provides better coverage. The 30cm and 55cm widths are better suited to narrow masking tasks like window reveals, skirting boards and door frames.
The sheet material is LDPE (low-density polyethylene), a lightweight thermoplastic film that is inherently waterproof and resistant to most water-based paints and pastes. LDPE is recyclable and carries a low environmental burden relative to heavier protective materials.
