The zinc fixed washer masonry nail is a hardened carbon steel nail designed for fixing timber, brackets, cable clips and other materials directly into masonry and concrete. The fixed washer head increases the clamping area against the workpiece, spreading load and reducing the chance of pull-through — useful anywhere you need a firm, positive hold without drilling and plugging. If you have ever tried to fix a batten to a block wall at pace, you will know a good masonry nail earns its keep.

These nails are bright zinc plated, which gives adequate corrosion resistance for internal applications. They are not intended for use outdoors or in wet and exposed conditions, but for internal first-fix work, service runs, and general site fixing they do the job cleanly and quickly.

What Sets the Fixed Washer Masonry Nail Apart

The 35-degree sharp point is a practical detail worth mentioning. It cuts into mortar joints and block faces cleanly rather than wandering on contact, which makes hammer driving more predictable. Masonry nails with blunt or shallow points have a habit of skipping sideways at the worst possible moment, and nobody wants to be chasing a nail across a newly plastered wall. The hardened carbon steel shank resists bending during driving, even when you catch a particularly stubborn aggregate.

The fixed washer sits permanently on the shank, so there is no fumbling around with loose washers on site. Small detail, genuinely useful when you are holding a batten in one hand and a hammer in the other.

Available in Three Lengths

These zinc fixed washer masonry nails come in 30mm, 40mm and 50mm, all at 3.50mm diameter. The 30mm suits thinner materials and shallow fixes into block. The 40mm is the most commonly reached-for size for general batten and bracket work. The 50mm gives deeper penetration into harder substrates where extra holding strength is needed. All three are available in boxes of 100 or 200, so you can pick up what you need for the job without overstocking.

Pro Tip: Always drive masonry nails into the block face rather than mortar joints where possible, as the block itself gives far better holding strength and reduces the risk of the nail working loose over time.
