ForgeFast flat head construction screws are built for structural timber work where pull-out resistance matters and a flush finish is required. The flat head with under-head ribs countersinks cleanly into timber without lifting or leaving a proud edge, making them a solid choice for decking boards, timber framing, and structural assembly where the surface needs to look tidy as well as hold firm.

The cutting point and serrated thread geometry do the hard work for you. In most timber types, these screws drive straight in without pre-drilling, which saves a meaningful amount of time when you are fixing hundreds of boards or running through a framing job. Less splitting, fewer cracked boards, and no constant swapping between drill and driver.

Where ForgeFast Flat Head Construction Screws Perform

These screws are sized for heavy-duty work. The 7.0mm diameter gives real holding strength in thick structural timbers, hardwood decking, railway sleepers, and engineered wood products. The full range runs from 65mm up to 250mm, so whether you are fixing through a 47mm joist or laminating thick sleepers together, there is a length for the job.

The tan coating provides reliable corrosion protection for external use, including exposed decking and landscaping structures. It is not a decorative finish, but it does blend reasonably well with treated timber, which is a bonus on visible fixings.

Torx Drive for High-Torque Work

The Star/Torx drive prevents cam-out during heavy driving, which matters when you are using an impact driver at full torque. It protects the screw head and keeps the bit engaged. If you have ever stripped a Pozi head halfway through a long screw, you will appreciate the difference quickly enough.

Pro Tip: When fixing hardwood decking with these, apply a small amount of wax or candle grease to the screw thread before driving to reduce friction and get a cleaner, more controlled countersink without burning the wood surface.
