Bondit Powdered Cement Colour Dye is a straightforward way to add permanent colour to mortar, concrete, render and cement mixes. Each 1kg tub uses high quality oxide pigments that are light-fast and non-fading, so the colour you mix in stays the colour you get — years down the line. If you have ever pointed a wall with a grey mortar that stands out like a sore thumb against aged stonework, you will understand why cement colour dye earns its place in the van.

The powder is chloride-free, which matters for reinforced concrete work where chloride contamination can cause long-term corrosion issues. It is formulated to incorporate easily into the mix without clumping or separating, and the quantity can be adjusted to dial in different shades from the same tub. A touch more pigment gives you a deeper tone; back it off and you get a softer, more natural finish. Available in Black, Brown, Buff and Red to cover the most common requirements on site.

Where Bondit Cement Colour Dye Fits Into the Job

This is not a specialist product requiring specialist knowledge. You add it to your mix the same way you would any dry admixture, and it works alongside other admixtures without causing compatibility issues. It conforms to EN12878:2005, the European standard for pigments used in concrete and mortar, so it meets the requirements for specification work where conformity needs to be demonstrated.

The cement colour dye works on everything from bricklaying and repointing to floor screeds, cast concrete and external render. Supplied as a dry powder in a 1kg tub, it is easy to measure out on site without mess. For larger decorative concrete pours or render projects, buying in bulk from DTS keeps the unit cost down and ensures colour consistency across batches — something that matters a lot if you are matching existing work.

Pro Tip: Weigh your pigment rather than scooping it by eye — even small variations in the amount added per batch will show as tonal differences once the work dries, especially on large flat render panels.
