WRAS approved end feed long radius 90 degree bend in 15mm and 22mm. Premium copper fitting for clean, sweated joints on domestic and commercial plumbing installations. Available individually or in boxes of 25.
These end feed long radius 90 degree bends are WRAS approved copper fittings designed for use on copper pipework in domestic and commercial plumbing systems. Available in 15mm and 22mm sizes, they accept standard copper tube and are joined by soldering in the conventional end feed method. The long radius design reduces flow restriction compared to a standard elbow, making these 90 end feed fittings a better choice wherever pressure drop or water velocity is a concern.
End feed fittings are the preferred choice for experienced plumbers and heating engineers who want clean, low-profile joints with complete control over the amount of solder used. There are no pre-loaded solder rings to worry about — you apply the solder yourself, which means consistent joints when you have the technique dialled in. These fittings are well suited to tight or concealed runs where a neat finish matters.
WRAS approval means these fittings have been tested and assessed for use in contact with drinking water systems in the UK. That approval is a requirement on many commercial and public sector jobs, and increasingly expected on quality residential installs too. If a building inspector or facilities manager asks for documentation, WRAS-approved fittings give you something solid to point to.
Where These 90 End Feed Fittings Are Used
Long radius bends see the most use in central heating pipework, domestic hot and cold water systems, and commercial plumbing installations where the pipe run needs to change direction cleanly. The extended sweep of the long radius bend is particularly useful on flow and return runs for radiator circuits, where a tight elbow would create unnecessary turbulence. In concealed pipework — inside stud walls, beneath floors, or within duct runs — the longer bend radius also reduces the risk of stress on the pipe at the joint.
Sizing and Pack Options
Both 15mm and 22mm sizes are available, covering the two most common copper pipe diameters used in UK plumbing. The 15mm size is the standard for branch and final connection work, while 22mm is the typical choice for main distribution runs and boiler connections. Fittings can be purchased individually for small jobs or in boxes of 25 for ongoing work or a full installation — buying in bulk saves handling time and keeps your van stocked without frequent reordering.
These are premium quality copper fittings, machined to consistent tolerances so the tube fits properly and the solder flows evenly around the joint. Poor-quality end feed fittings often have loose tube fit or inconsistent internal bore dimensions, which causes cold joints or callbacks. These are not that sort of fitting.
Pro Tip: With long radius bends, always dry-fit the run before soldering to confirm the sweep direction is correct, as the extended profile can catch you out in confined spaces where a standard elbow would have sat flush.
