From there you’ve got a limited working window before it starts to go off, so it’s not the moment to answer the phone.

The 40g size is well matched to a standard Metolux filler tin for most job volumes. A pack of two tubes gives you a bit of insurance, especially on longer jobs where you might be filling in stages. Stored correctly in a cool, dry place, the hardener has a reasonable shelf life, but like most two-part chemistry it won’t last forever once the tube is opened. Use what you need and recap it firmly.
