Paslode 141185 PPNXi & PPN35Ci 35mm Gas Nails 2500pk + 2 Fuel Cells

The Paslode 141185 is a dedicated fuel pack of Paslode gas nails designed specifically for the PPNXi and PPN35Ci positive placement nailers. Each box contains 2,500 electro galvanised twisted nails at 3.4 x 35mm, along with two fuel cells to keep the gun running through a full day’s work. These are not general framing nails. They are CE marked and EC5 compliant, purpose-built for driving through joist hangers, timber connectors, and other structural fixing hardware directly into solid timber.

The twisted shank is what separates these from a standard smooth nail. Once driven, the twist creates a mechanical interlock with the surrounding timber fibres, giving considerably better withdrawal resistance than a plain shank nail of the same diameter. For connector and hanger applications where holding power is a structural consideration, that difference is genuine and measurable.

Paslode specifies an electro galvanised surface treatment at 12 microns, which places the 141185 nails at Service Class 2. That means they are suited to indoor unheated environments and protected exterior locations: internal roof structures, garages, carports, covered walkways, and similar settings. They are not rated for fully exposed exterior use or chemically aggressive environments, where hot-dipped galvanising would be the correct specification.

What Makes These Paslode Gas Nails Specific to the PPNXi and PPN35Ci

The full-head positive placement design is particular to these two tools. The nail is presented through the nose of the gun to ensure consistent placement into pre-punched connector holes, which is precisely the task these nailers are built for. Standard strip nails will not work in a positive placement nailer, so having the correct pack before you start the job matters.

The coating applied to Paslode gas nails is also formulated for driveability through the gun mechanism. It reduces friction on the driver blade and helps each nail seat cleanly, even at high production rates. You can put a lot of connectors in during a day with these and not notice any drop in consistency.

The two fuel cells included in the 141185 pack are matched to the nail count, so there is enough gas to work through the full 2,500 nails without hunting for cells mid-job. For anyone regularly fitting joist hangers, beam shoes, or timber connectors in cut roof or timber frame construction, keeping a box of 141185 on the van makes the job considerably faster than hand nailing.
