When you need clean, accurate cuts through stainless steel or sheet metal, most discs either chatter, overheat or leave a ragged edge. The Abracs BLACK Edition PRO metal cutting discs are built to avoid all of that. These are thin slitting discs engineered specifically for precision work on inox and high-grade steels, where a blunt or aggressive disc ruins the finish and potentially the material. Whether you’re on a fabrication job or cutting sections on site, these deliver where it matters.

The 1.0mm profile on the 115mm and 125mm sizes is genuinely thin. That narrow kerf means less material lost per cut, less heat generated, and considerably less kickback. The compound formulation is designed for stability through the cut, so the disc doesn’t flex or wander mid-pass. Less vibration means better control, less fatigue, and a cleaner result. Anyone who’s spent a long day cutting stainless knows that vibration adds up quickly.

What Makes These Metal Cutting Discs Different

The BLACK Edition name comes from a combination of the reinforced fibre webbing and the specific abrasive compound used in this range. That strengthened construction gives the disc consistent performance from first cut to last, rather than the gradual degradation you get from cheaper options. The 22.2mm bore fits standard angle grinders, so there’s no adaptor faff involved.

The 230mm disc steps up to a 1.9mm thickness, which is appropriate for that diameter and keeps it stable at higher peripheral speeds. Use it on larger sections where the 115mm disc just isn’t going to reach.

These are available individually or in boxes of 25, which makes them practical for trade use. Running a single disc on a one-off job is fine, but if you’re cutting stainless regularly, buying in volume makes obvious sense.

Pro Tip: When cutting stainless steel, let the disc do the work at a consistent feed rate rather than forcing it through. Applying too much pressure generates heat, which can cause discolouration and work-harden the material, making subsequent cuts harder.
