These 150mm cobalt metal reciprocating saw blades are built for the kind of cutting that would chew through a standard blade in minutes. Made from M42 bi-metal material with an 8% cobalt HSS cutting edge, they handle steel plate, steel pipes, box section and structural profiles without the teeth giving up halfway through the cut. If you have used the Bosch S920CF, these are a direct equivalent and a good deal cheaper per blade.

The 22mm blade width is noticeably wider than a standard recip blade. That extra width keeps things tracking straight when you are cutting at pace through thick material, and the 1.5mm body thickness means there is real rigidity behind each stroke. Narrow, thin blades flex and bind, especially in demolition work where you might be cutting at awkward angles or through material that is moving. These do not have that problem.

Where These 150mm Cobalt Reciprocating Saw Blades Earn Their Keep

Nine TPI is the right pitch for metal cutting at speed. Fine enough to get a clean bite into steel, coarse enough to clear swarf and keep the cut moving without loading up. You are not going to use these for thin sheet metalwork, and they are not designed for it. What they are designed for is cutting through the stuff that gets in the way on a demolition or rescue job, quickly and without fuss.

The special geometry milled teeth are hardened to stay sharp longer under load. On a standard demolition blade, teeth can soften and round off mid-cut when the material gets hot. The cobalt content in these raises the heat resistance considerably, which matters when you are pushing through thick steel and the blade is generating real friction heat.

Universal fitting means they drop straight into any reciprocating saw that uses a standard shank, which covers the vast majority of machines on site. No adapters, no faff.

Supplied in a pack of three, which is a practical quantity for a demolition job where you might burn through a blade or two. Good value at the price and sensible to keep a few in the bag.

Pro Tip: If your blade starts to skate or slip on the surface before biting in, nick the steel with a cold chisel first to give the teeth a positive starting point, particularly on round pipe or smooth plate.
