Not suitable for: Not suitable for use on natural stone surfaces such as marble or limestone, where the acetic acid released during cure can cause staining or damage. Not intended for structural glazing or external facade applications as a primary weatherseal.
Clean and dry both surfaces thoroughly before applying. Any old sealant, soap residue, grease or moisture will compromise adhesion, so take the time to degrease with an appropriate cleaner and allow to dry completely. Mask both sides of the joint with low-tack tape for a clean finish, particularly on tiles where silicone residue is difficult to remove once cured.
Cut the nozzle to the required bead size and apply in a single continuous pass where possible. Tool off with a wet finger or silicone finishing tool immediately after application. Remove the masking tape before the silicone skins over. Allow to cure fully before exposing to water, typically 24 hours in normal conditions, though cure time will extend in cold or poorly ventilated spaces.
Remove all old sealant and residue using a silicone remover or scraper, then clean both surfaces with a degreasing cleaner
Ensure surfaces are completely dry before starting, moisture under the sealant is the most common cause of premature failure

How long does Everbuild 500 take to cure fully in a bathroom environment?
Under normal conditions, around 24 hours before water contact. In cold rooms or where ventilation is poor, allow longer. The sealant will skin over within the first hour or two but that outer skin does not mean it is fully cured through the depth of the joint.
Can I use Everbuild 500 on natural stone tiles like marble or travertine?
No. Acetoxy cure silicones release acetic acid during curing and this can stain or etch natural stone. For marble, limestone, travertine or similar materials, use a neutral cure silicone instead.
