Bondit The One is a low modulus neutral cure (LMN) sanitary silicone sealant built to cover the full range of common sealing applications. One tube for bathrooms, windows, natural stone, mirrors, ducting and more. If you’ve ever kept a drawer full of different silicones for different surfaces, this is the product that empties it.
The low modulus formula means it stays flexible after curing, which matters when you’re sealing joints that move slightly with temperature changes or building settlement. It won’t crack out of the joint or pull away from the substrate. That makes it well suited to uPVC window frames, wet room installations, and anywhere thermal movement is a factor.
Why The One Works on Natural Stone and Sanitary Applications
Most standard silicones will bleed into porous stone or trigger a chemical reaction that leaves a greasy halo around the bead. Bondit The One uses a neutral cure system, which means it doesn’t release acetic acid as it cures. That’s what makes it safe on marble, granite, travertine, and other natural stone surfaces where acid-cure silicones cause permanent staining. It’s equally at home on mirrors, where the same acid off-gassing can damage the silvering from the edge inward.
The sanitary silicone properties go further than just surface compatibility. A powerful fungicide is built into the formulation, and Bondit backs that with a 10-year mould resistance guarantee. For bathroom and wet room installations, that’s a meaningful reassurance to pass on to a customer.
It’s rated to 220°C, making it suitable for ducting and higher-temperature environments. It’s also tested to ISO846, DIN18545, VDI 6022 and approved for use with VSG/LSG laminated safety glass. CE approved. Customers can shower after just one hour, which keeps jobs moving rather than leaving wet areas out of commission for a day.
Pro Tip: When sealing natural stone, always apply masking tape to both sides of the joint before you gun the bead — neutral cure or not, tooling silicone across porous stone can still leave a faint residue that is difficult to remove once cured.
