Everbuild Lumberjack 30 Minute Wood Adhesive is a one-part polyurethane wood glue that sets in around 30 minutes — a significant step up from typical PVA, which needs 8 to 12 hours before you can move on. It cures by reacting with moisture, either from the substrate or the air, so there’s no mixing, no measuring, and no waiting around for a partner component to arrive on site.
The liquid formula comes in a 750g bottle, making it easy to apply accurately without the mess that comes with thicker cartridge-style adhesives. It foams slightly as it cures, which helps it fill hairline gaps and maintain contact across surfaces that aren’t perfectly machined. That’s a practical benefit when you’re working with reclaimed timber or anything that’s been sitting in a damp yard for a month.
What Everbuild Lumberjack 30 Minute Wood Adhesive Bonds
This isn’t a one-trick glue. Beyond hardwood, softwood and exotic timbers, it bonds Formica, polystyrene, PU foam, glass wool, metal and various plastics including PVC. It also adheres to stone, concrete, brick and masonry, which makes it useful well beyond the joinery shop. Painted wood surfaces are fine too, which saves you the extra step of stripping back to bare timber.
It’s fully waterproof to EN204 D4, the highest classification for wood adhesive water resistance, and it holds up in seawater. That makes it a reasonable choice for boat building and exterior joinery, not just indoor furniture work. Chemical resistance is also good, so it won’t fail quietly in damp or chemically active environments.
Internal and External Applications
The everbuild lumberjack 30 minute wood adhesive is used across a wide range of trades, from furniture and staircase construction to window and door frame manufacture, insulation board fixing and general site joinery. It’s the kind of adhesive that earns its place in the van because it handles more jobs than most.
Pro Tip: Lightly dampen one of the mating surfaces with a barely wet cloth before applying the adhesive — PU glues cure by moisture reaction, and on very dry timber in a heated environment, a touch of moisture speeds the set and improves bond strength noticeably.
