The ForgeFast Pozi Elite screw tubs are a solid choice for anyone who drives a lot of screws and wants them to go in quickly, cleanly and stay put. These are fast-start, anti-split woodscrews built around a double cutting point that bites into timber straight away, reducing drive time and cutting the risk of splitting near edges and ends. If you have ever cracked a piece of decking board on the final screw, you will appreciate what that point geometry actually does in practice.
The ForgeFast Pozi Elite comes coated with Elementech 400, a non-chromium, yellow and zinc surface treatment that has been salt spray tested to 400 hours. That puts it well ahead of standard zinc-plated screws, which typically fail much earlier under the same conditions. It lasts up to six times longer than basic zinc coating, making it a practical choice for internal joinery, stud work, fencing panels, and any application where you want the screw to still be doing its job years later.
What Makes the Pozi Elite Different From a Standard Woodscrew
The serrated cutting thread does two things. It reduces the torque needed to drive the screw, so your battery is not working as hard, and it improves pull-out resistance once the screw is fully seated. The reinforced countersunk neck adds holding power at the head, and the six angled lobes around the countersink give a cleaner, more controlled flush finish. There is also an anti-friction feature built in to prevent jacking, rotation and splitting during drive. The screw can penetrate 0.8mm steel, which is useful when fixing into metal-st frames or hitting unexpected brackets in timber work.
Available across a wide range of sizes from 3.5 x 30mm up to 5.0 x 100mm, these tubs are well suited to tradespeople who want a reliable bulk supply on site without counting out individual box quantities.
Pro Tip: When driving into hardwood close to an edge, use the double cutting point to your advantage by letting the screw do the work at low speed before increasing torque, which keeps splitting to a minimum even without pre-drilling.
