Lightweight aluminium ladder that converts between step ladder, extending ladder and stair ladder. Five-tread double-sided step configuration, extends to 2.67m. Ideal for decorating, DIY and stairwell access.
Most ladders do one job. This one does three. The Titan 3 Way is an aluminium ladder that converts between a double-sided step ladder, a single extending ladder and a stair ladder, without needing to own a separate set of each. That matters when you’re working in a van, a small lock-up, or anywhere space is at a premium.
The step ladder configuration gives you five treads on a double-sided A-frame, which is the most practical format for decorating and general work around the home. No leaning against freshly painted walls, no hunting for something to brace it against. Just open it, lock it, get up it.
Three Ladder Configurations, One Aluminium Frame
Switch it to extending mode and you’ve got 2.67 metres of reach, which is enough for one-storey exterior work, clearing gutters on a bungalow or accessing a loft hatch without having to lug a full-size extension ladder out of storage. The transition between modes is straightforward, using a hinge and locking mechanism that holds the configuration securely while in use.
The stair ladder mode is where this earns its keep in older properties. Stairwells are awkward at the best of times, and trying to work safely on a standard step ladder over an uneven staircase is asking for trouble. The asymmetric leg adjustment lets you set different heights on each side, so the platform stays level on a slope. If you’ve ever tried decorating a stairwell without one, you’ll know exactly what that’s worth.
Aluminium construction keeps the weight down without any meaningful compromise on load capacity. It’s designed for domestic use rather than heavy trade environments, but for a homeowner, an odd-job person, or anyone who needs a reliable all-in-one ladder without it taking up half a hallway, this is a sensible buy at a sensible price.
Pro Tip: When using the stair ladder configuration, always check that both locking joints are fully engaged before stepping on it, a half-locked hinge looks fine until it isn't.
