The ABRACS circular saw blade 165mm x 20mm is a thin kerf blade designed specifically for cordless circular saws. If you’re running a cordless saw on site, battery draw matters — and a thin kerf blade cuts through less material per pass, meaning your motor works less hard and your charge lasts longer. That’s not marketing speak, that’s just physics. Available in three tooth counts to match different cutting tasks, these blades cover most of what you’ll need from a handheld cordless saw.

The 24 tooth blade is the workhorse. Fast, aggressive cuts through structural timber, framing, joists and rough sawn material. It leaves a coarser finish but gets the job done quickly, which is exactly what you want when you’re cutting down lengths on a busy site. Step up to the 40 tooth and you’re in all-round territory — solid general use across timber, plywood, OSB and MDF. Decent finish without sacrificing too much speed. The 48 tooth is the one to reach for when finish matters: sheet material, furniture grade ply, melamine-faced board or anywhere you’d rather not spend time sanding out a ragged edge.

Where This ABRACS 165mm Blade Gets Used

These are site blades in the proper sense. The 165mm diameter fits the most commonly used cordless circular saws across the major brands, making them a practical stock item if your team runs handheld saws day to day. Carpenters, joiners, general builders and shop fitters will all find a use across the three variants. Whether you’re building a stud wall, cutting carcassing, or trimming down a sheet of ply, one of these three tooth counts will be the right tool for it.

At this price point, it makes sense to keep one of each on the van. The 20mm bore is standard, and no bushing rings are supplied, so check your saw’s arbour before ordering if you’re unsure.

Pro Tip: Always match the tooth count to the cut you need before you start: using a 48 tooth blade to rip through framing timber will overheat the blade far faster than a 24 tooth would, and you'll blunt it in a morning.
