C2 Floor-Fix – MDF & Chipboard Flooring Screws – Tub 250

The Forgefast C2 Floor-Fix are chipboard flooring screws built specifically for fixing MDF and chipboard flooring panels to timber joists. Where a general-purpose screw will often split the board, tear the surface, or leave a raised head that grinds underfoot, these are designed from the ground up to avoid all of that.

The patented twin-cut point bites quickly and cleanly, reducing the risk of the board splitting as the screw drives home. The plain shank section beneath the thread acts as a clamp, pulling the two substrates together as the screw tightens without you having to lean on anything by hand. It is a small detail that saves genuine time on a large floor installation.

What Makes These Chipboard Flooring Screws Different

The head design does a lot of the work here. Finishing teeth and self-countersinking ribs let the head sit flush without the need to pre-countersink, and the result is a tidy surface that will not cause problems when you lay floor coverings on top. No one wants a bump under a vinyl sheet, especially not the customer.

The screws are coated with a high-molecular polymer lubricant. The coating also provides rust protection rated at up to 20 times better than standard zinc plating, which matters in environments where moisture might occasionally be a concern, such as kitchens or ground floor installations.

The dual-angle thread gives strong pull-out resistance once the screw is home, so boards stay fixed even as the floor flexes and settles with use. These come in a tub of 250, which is a solid working quantity for a decent-sized room without being excessive.
