The Scan white chemical splash coverall is built from a microporous laminate fabric that sits in a useful middle ground: light enough to wear for a full shift without feeling like you’re wrapped in a bin bag, but strong enough to meet the standards that matter on serious jobs. Type 5 and Type 6 certified, it handles both airborne particles and liquid chemical splash, which means one suit covers a reasonable range of hazardous environments.

It’s CE PPE Category III rated, which is the classification reserved for protection against the highest levels of risk. That’s not a marketing distinction; it affects which environments you’re legally permitted to use the suit in. For asbestos removal, chemical handling, biohazard work, or anything involving fine particulates and splash risk, you want a suit sitting in that category rather than something cheaper that only holds a Category II mark.

The anti-static properties are certified to EN 1149-1:2008, making it suitable for environments where static discharge is a concern — aerospace and electronics manufacturing being the obvious ones, but also certain chemical processing facilities where the combination of flammable vapours and static electricity is best avoided. It’s also latex and silicone free, which removes a potential irritant issue for anyone with sensitivities.

Where This White Chemical Splash Coverall Gets Used

The construction and fit is practical. A three-piece elasticated hood keeps the head coverage secure without gaps at the neck. Knitted cuffs at the wrists stop the sleeves riding up or letting particulates in. Elasticated ankles do the same job at the other end. The two-way zip with a re-sealable adhesive stormflap means you can actually get in and out of the suit cleanly, which matters when you’re doffing in a decontamination zone and don’t want to contaminate yourself on the way out.

It’s a single-use disposable suit, which is the correct approach for most hazardous environments. Trying to decontaminate and reuse a suit of this type introduces variables you don’t want. One job, one suit — simple enough.

Pro Tip: When doffing after asbestos or biohazard work, always roll the suit inward as you remove it to trap any surface contamination inside, and bag it immediately rather than leaving it on the floor of the work area.
