These TIMco collated stainless steel wood screws bring the performance of the Classic Multi-Purpose range together with the corrosion resistance of A2 stainless steel, in a format ready for auto-feed power tools. If you are fixing in exposed, damp or chemically active environments, standard zinc-plated screws will let you down eventually. Stainless steel holds firm where other fixings corrode away.

The double countersunk head gives a clean, flush finish into timber and sheet materials. The Pozidrive recess gives positive bit engagement, which matters when you are driving at speed through a collated tool. Cam-out mid-strip is not something you want to deal with on a big run of fixings.

Where These Stainless Steel Wood Screws Earn Their Keep

The coarse thread profile cuts cleanly into softwood and grips well in chipboard and MDF. Hardwood is no problem either, though you will want to pre-drill to avoid splitting. They also fix into plastic where a coarse thread gives better purchase than a fine one.

The collated strip format is the real advantage on volume work. Whether you are decking, cladding, fitting out a bathroom, or running fixings through treated timber on a commercial project, the auto-feed format keeps you moving. TIMco have designed these strips to work with all leading auto-feed collated screw gun brands, so you are not locked into a specific tool.

Why A2 Stainless Steel Matters Here

A2 stainless steel is the standard grade for general construction use in corrosive conditions. It performs well against moisture, salt air and the chemical treatments used in modern preservative timber. Where the base material itself is corrosive, stainless is not optional, it is the only sensible choice. Using carbon steel fixings into treated timber causes accelerated corrosion and eventual fixing failure.

Pro Tip: Always check that your collated screw gun depth setting is dialled in before starting a run: A2 stainless is softer than case-hardened carbon steel, and over-driving will strip the head before the screw is fully seated.
