The Rooftec angled dry verge ridge end cap gives your roof apex a proper, finished look while keeping the weather where it belongs — outside. Sold in pairs, these caps sit at the ridge end of a dry verge run, closing off the top of the system neatly without the need for mortar or ongoing maintenance. If you’ve been using Rooftec’s universal dry verge units along the verge, these are the natural finishing piece.
Dry verge systems have largely replaced the old mortar-bedded approach for good reason. No cracking, no pointing to redo every few years, and a much cleaner finish straight off the scaffold. The angled profile on these end caps is designed to follow the roof pitch, so the cap sits flush and doesn’t leave an awkward gap at the top of the run. It’s a small detail that makes a noticeable difference to the overall appearance, especially on new builds or full re-roofing jobs where the client is actually looking at the ridge line.
Where Rooftec Angled Ridge End Caps Fit Into a Dry Verge System
These caps are used specifically at the apex — the very top of the gable end — where the dry verge run meets the ridge. They’re the final piece of the puzzle once the verge units are in place. Without them, you’ve got an open end at the top of the system that looks unfinished and gives wind and water a way in. The angled design means they sit correctly against the ridge rather than leaving a flat cap that doesn’t follow the roof slope.
Rooftec’s dry verge units are universal, meaning each unit works on both left and right-hand sides of the gable.
