Firmahold angled brad nails are galvanised collated nails designed for use with angled gas nailers, including the Paslode IM65A and compatible tools that accept 20-degree angled collation. Each pack contains 2000 nails and includes a gas canister, so you can load up and get straight to work without a separate order for consumables.
The T-shaped head is what makes these worth reaching for on finishing work. It drives flush into the timber surface and leaves a small, clean entry point that is straightforward to fill on painted trim or barely noticeable on natural timber with a dab of matching filler. No protruding head to punch down, no visible round head to sand over. On skirting, architrave and cladding, that detail adds up over a long run of fixing.
Sizes run from 32mm through to 64mm, covering the full spread of internal first and second fix applications. The 32mm and 38mm nails suit thinner trims and lightweight materials. Most fixers will reach for the 45mm or 50mm on standard skirting and door architrave. The 64mm option gives a longer fixing where you are going into a solid timber frame or thicker substrate.
Where Firmahold Angled Brad Nails Get Used
These are built for internal joinery finishing. Skirting boards, door architrave, window boards, tongue and groove panelling, and timber cladding are all typical applications. The galvanised coating protects against the background moisture that is normal on any active build site, whether from fresh plaster, damp timber or condensation through winter. It also prevents the staining that bare steel nails can cause on pale or painted timbers.
Collation Format
The 20-degree collation angle matches the magazine of angled gas nailers in the Paslode IM65A format and equivalent tools from other manufacturers that accept the same angle. Angled and straight collated nails are not interchangeable, so check your nailer magazine before ordering. If in doubt, the collation angle is usually printed on the magazine housing.
Pro Tip: On long runs of skirting, keep a consistent nail spacing of around 400-600mm and shoot close to any joints to prevent the board lifting over time as the building settles.
