Wood jigsaw blades need to match the job, not just the machine. The wrong tooth profile leaves a torn edge, a burnt cut, or a blade that wanders through a curve like it’s had a long lunch. These HSC T-shank blades are sold in packs of five and cover eight distinct profiles, each designed for a specific cutting task across wood, plywood, chipboard, soft plastics, Perspex and insulation board.

All blades use a universal T-shank fitting, which is the standard on practically every modern jigsaw from Bosch and Makita to DeWalt and Milwaukee. You won’t need an adapter and you won’t be hunting for oddball sizes. Just pick the right profile and get cutting.

Choosing the Right Wood Jigsaw Blade for the Job

The T101B is the go-to for clean cuts in wood and plywood up to 60mm, running at 10 TPI for a smooth finish. Step up to the T101D if speed matters more than finish and your material is up to 50mm deep. The T111C and T144D both run at coarser tooth counts for faster ripping through thicker sections, with the T144D also handling Perspex and insulation board up to the appropriate depths.

Curve work gets its own blade too. The T244D is built for cutting curves in wood and chipboard, while the T101AO is the specialist option with a shark tooth profile for tight radius cuts in laminates up to 20mm without blowing out the surface. Both the T101AO and T101BR use a down-cut geometry specifically to prevent splintering on laminated boards and veneered sheets, which makes a noticeable difference on kitchen worktops or melamine-faced panels.

For deeper cuts through hardwood or thick structural timber, the T301CD runs at 85mm blade length and handles material up to 70mm deep, which is the longest reach in this range.

Buying in packs of five means you have spares ready when a blade dulls mid-job, which is not an unusual situation on a long rip through dense chipboard.

Pro Tip: When cutting laminated or melamine-faced boards, fit the T101BR or T101AO down-cut blade and run the jigsaw with the good face of the board facing downwards so any breakout happens on the underside where it won't be seen.
