Protective Cling Sheet

The Timco Protective Cling Sheet is a 50m x 4m roll of static-charged polythene sheeting designed to protect floors, furniture and surfaces during decorating, plastering and general building works. Unlike a standard dust sheet, it clings to surfaces using static charge alone — no tape, no adhesive, no residue left behind when you peel it off. At 200m² per roll, there is plenty of material to cover a significant area before you need to reach for another.

The static charge does more than just hold the sheet in place. It actively attracts airborne dust particles and paint overspray, pulling them onto the sheet rather than letting them settle elsewhere. If you have ever come back after a day’s spraying to find a fine mist of paint on everything you thought you had covered, you will appreciate why that matters. Regular poly sheets let particles travel underneath; this one works against that.

Where the Protective Cling Sheet Earns Its Keep

This kind of sheet comes into its own on decorating and renovation sites where multiple trades are working in sequence. Plasterers, painters, floor layers — anyone moving through a space that has just been prepped — benefits from a surface covering that stays put without needing to be taped down every morning and re-taped every time someone walks across it. It is water resistant too, so splashes from emulsion, plaster water and general site mess wipe off rather than soak through.

Practical Protection Without the Faff

There is a certain type of dust sheet that spends more time being repositioned than actually protecting anything. This is not that. The cling action keeps it in contact with the surface even in busier environments, and because there is no adhesive involved, delicate surfaces such as freshly finished floors or polished furniture come away clean. Peel it back at the end of the job and there is nothing left behind except the surface in the same condition you found it.
