Reisser timber connector screws are built for structural timber work where a standard fixing just won’t cut it. The wafer head design gives you greater pull-through resistance and better clamping force than a countersunk or hex head screw, which makes a real difference when you’re pulling warped or bowed timber into line. The flat, low-profile head also sits flush and looks clean where fixings are on show.
The sharp 25-degree point gets the screw started fast without pre-drilling, and two CUTTER slots near the tip let you fix close to the edge of timber without the risk of splitting. That’s a detail worth having when you’re working near board ends or tight to a joist edge.
What Sets Reisser Timber Connector Screws Apart
A ‘rollet’ feature on the shaft reduces drag and torsion as the screw drives home. In practice, that means less effort, less heat build-up, and a faster overall fixing. The TXD star drive is designed to maximise torque transfer while keeping cam-out to a minimum, so you’re less likely to strip the drive when you’re pushing hard on a long fixing into dense timber.
The steel is specially hardened to give maximum tensile and torsional strength, while still allowing a minimum 30-degree bending angle before failure. That flexibility matters in structural applications where loadings aren’t always perfectly aligned.
Nano KTCO Coating
The bronze Nano KTCO coating is tested to a minimum of 2000 hours salt spray resistance and is Cr-6 free. It resists peeling in timber, which matters more than people realise. A coating that stays intact keeps corrosion protection working across the full life of the fixing. Available in a wide range of lengths and diameters across 6mm and 8mm shank sizes to suit most structural and heavy-duty timber applications.
Pro Tip: When driving 8mm diameter fixings into hardwood or engineered timber, a light application of wax or soap to the screw thread will reduce driving torque noticeably and protect your bit from premature wear.
