Fit the chisel into your SDS+ hammer drill by pulling back the chuck collar, inserting the shank fully, and releasing. Give it a tug to confirm it's locked in. Set the drill to hammer-only mode — not rotation, not combined. Position the point on the material and let the machine do the work; there's no need to force it.
Keep a firm two-handed grip and reposition regularly to avoid the chisel walking off the target area. On very hard concrete, scoring a shallow groove first with a flat chisel can help keep the point tracking true.

What's the difference between a point chisel and a flat chisel for SDS+?

A flat chisel spreads that energy across a wider edge, making it better for chasing, splitting along a line, or removing surface material cleanly. For breaking out, the point wins.
How long should an SDS+ point chisel last?
That depends heavily on the material you're working in. On standard blockwork or soft concrete it can last a very long time. On dense aggregate concrete or reinforced slabs the tip wears much faster. At this price it's worth keeping a spare to hand rather than pushing on with a blunted tip, which just makes the job harder and puts more load on the machine.
