Put the mask on before entering any dusty or hazardous area. Cup the mask in one hand, hook the lower strap behind your neck first, then pull the upper strap over the top of your head. Press the nose clip down firmly along the bridge of your nose using both hands simultaneously — single-handed bending leaves an uneven seal. Breathe in sharply to check for bypass air around the edges.
The exhalation valve will take care of itself during use, but check it is not blocked or damaged before fitting. Dispose of the mask at the end of the working session or immediately if it becomes damaged, wet through, or difficult to breathe through normally.

What is the difference between FFP2 and FFP3 and when do I need FFP3?
FFP2 filters at least 94% of airborne particles and covers most general dust work. FFP3 filters at least 99% and is required when working with higher-risk materials such as silica-containing dust, asbestos-containing materials, or fine toxic particulates. If the COSHH assessment or method statement for your job specifies FFP3, use FFP3 — FFP2 is not an equivalent substitute.
Can I reuse the P301 mask across multiple shifts?
No. The P301 is rated NR, which stands for non-reusable. It is designed for a single working session. Reusing a disposable FFP3 mask risks degraded filtration performance, a compromised face seal, and potential contamination from previous use — particularly important when the hazard is silica or other cumulative-exposure substances.
The P301 is constructed from polypropylene (PP) with an EVA foam internal gasket. It meets EN 149:2001+A1:2009 at the FFP3 NR classification, meaning it achieves at least 99% filtration efficiency against solid and liquid aerosol particles.
