The P306 FFP3 valved reusable mask is built for trades where the air quality is anything but clean. Certified to EN 149:2001+A1:2009 FFP3 R D, it filters out fine dusts, metal fumes, mists and aerosols at the highest filtering facepiece level available. The P306 FFP3 valved reusable mask carries a Dolomite clogging test rating, which means the filter media holds up better over a full shift rather than becoming restrictive after an hour or two of hard use.
That exhalation valve is worth mentioning properly. On a standard unvalved mask, you are essentially breathing through a warm, damp disc of filter material all day. The high-performance valve on this mask vents exhaled air quickly, reducing heat and moisture build-up inside the facepiece. If you have ever pulled a mask off after a long stint on a dusty job and found it soaking, you will appreciate what a difference that makes in practice.
Why the P306 FFP3 Mask Fits Where Others Fail
Fit matters as much as filtration rating. An FFP3 mask with a poor seal around the face is offering you FFP3 on paper and considerably less in reality. The P306 uses an all-round internal foam gasket to create a consistent seal against most face shapes, and the soft moulded nose bridge presses firmly without digging in. Wide elastic head straps are adjustable, so the mask stays put during active work rather than slowly migrating south over the course of a morning.
The entire construction is 100% metal free, which means it passes through metal detection systems without issue, a genuine requirement in certain manufacturing and food production environments. CE Category III certified, which is the classification for PPE protecting against the most serious risks.
Reusable for more than one working shift, so you are not throwing one away every time you break for lunch. That adds up over a week on site, and the retail box makes these presentable enough to hand out or sell on individually if needed.
Pro Tip: Before each reuse, check the foam gasket and nose bridge for deformation or damage, a compromised seal will drop the effective filtration well below FFP3 regardless of what the rating on the mask says.
The P306 is used across dusty trades including plastering, drylining, sanding, cutting concrete or masonry, and working with insulation materials. It is equally at home in industrial environments where fine particulate, metal fumes or aerosols are present. Food processing and pharmaceutical manufacturing sites often specify metal-free PPE, and this mask meets that requirement without needing a separate version.
Roofers cutting fibre cement slate, joiners working with MDF, and anyone grinding or disc-cutting on site will find this sits at the right protection level for the task. FFP3 is also the standard recommended for protection against biological aerosols, making it relevant beyond the typical construction context.

Not suitable for: Not suitable for environments requiring supplied air or SCBA protection, and not designed for gases or vapours. This mask does not provide oxygen-deficient atmosphere protection.
Fit the mask over your nose and chin, pull the upper head strap over the crown and the lower strap behind the neck. Adjust both straps until the mask sits snugly. Press the nose bridge down firmly along its full length to conform to your face shape.
Perform a positive pressure fit check before entering a contaminated area: cup your hands over the mask and exhale gently. If you feel air escaping around the edges rather than through the valve, readjust and recheck. The foam gasket should compress evenly against the face all the way around.
Inspect the mask before use, checking the foam gasket, nose bridge and valve for any visible damage
Hold the mask over your nose and chin with the valve facing outward
Pull the upper elastic strap over the top of your head and position it at the crown
Pull the lower strap behind your neck, not over your ears
Press the nose bridge firmly along its full length to create a close contour against your nose
Perform a positive pressure check by exhaling gently with hands cupped over the mask
If air leaks at the edges, readjust the straps and reshape the nose bridge before re-checking
After use, store in a clean, dry location away from dust and contamination to preserve reusability
What does the Dolomite clogging test rating actually mean in practice?
The Dolomite test exposes the filter media to a fine calcium magnesium carbonate dust during certification testing. A mask that passes this test maintains acceptable breathing resistance for longer under real working conditions, particularly in high-dust environments. Without it, some masks can become noticeably harder to breathe through as the shift goes on. The D rating on the P306 means you are less likely to find yourself fighting the mask for air by mid-afternoon.
Can this mask be used across multiple shifts, and how do I know when to replace it?
Yes, it is certified as reusable for more than one working shift, which is what the R designation in FFP3 R D means. Replace the mask if the filter becomes visibly contaminated, if breathing resistance increases significantly, if the foam gasket loses its shape or no longer seals properly, or if the valve or straps show any damage. There is no fixed number of uses, as environment and duration vary too much for a blanket figure to be meaningful.
Constructed from polypropylene filter media with an EVA foam inner gasket, the P306 meets EN 149:2001+A1:2009 at FFP3 R D classification. FFP3 is the highest filtering facepiece particulate rating in the European standard, offering at least 99% filtration efficiency against airborne particles. The R D classification confirms the mask is reusable across more than one shift and has passed the optional Dolomite clogging test. CE Category III designation applies to PPE for the highest risk categories.
