Before applying, make sure the surface is clean, free from dust, loose material and any contamination. Dilute with water depending on surface porosity: around 1:3 for standard porous backgrounds, 1:1 or neat for smooth, dense or low-suction surfaces. Apply evenly with a brush, roller or spray, ensuring full coverage with no dry patches. The pink colour makes it straightforward to check for missed areas.
Allow the primer to become touch-dry before applying plaster or render. On highly absorbent surfaces a second coat may help even out suction further. If using as a slurry bond coat, mix neat SBR into the cement gauging water before adding aggregate.

Does the pink colour wash off or bleed through plaster?
