Premium 300mm diamond blade with continuous rim design for cutting virtually all construction materials including reinforced concrete and steel. Features cooling hole technology for reduced heat and improved visibility. Suitable for wet or dry cutting.
The Abracs PRO-X Turbo Multi-Material Diamond Blade is a 300mm general purpose blade designed for cutting through the full range of construction materials you encounter on site. Reinforced concrete, brick, block, stone, steel rebar and general masonry all fall within its capabilities. The 20mm bore fits most 300mm petrol saws and floor saws used in UK construction.
What sets this blade apart from cheaper alternatives is the continuous rim turbo segment design. The 10mm segment runs unbroken around the cutting edge rather than using individual segments welded to the core. This eliminates the risk of segment loss during cutting, which is the most common failure mode on budget blades. When a segment detaches at speed it becomes a projectile, so continuous rim construction is both a performance and safety consideration.
Built for Demanding Materials
Multi-material blades exist because real jobs rarely involve cutting just one thing. A groundworker breaking out an old slab might hit brick rubble, reinforced concrete, stone and the odd bit of buried metalwork in a single cut. Swapping blades every time the material changes is not practical. The PRO-X uses a diamond matrix formulated to handle this variety without glazing over on soft materials or losing diamonds too quickly on hard ones.
The blade body itself is pre-stressed during manufacture. This tensioning process helps the core maintain stability at high rotational speeds, reducing wobble and improving cut accuracy. A strengthened metal body also resists the flexing that causes core cracks on cheaper blades.
Cooling Hole Technology
The cooling holes around the blade core serve two purposes. They allow air to circulate during dry cutting, drawing heat away from the segment bond and the material being cut. Hot segments wear faster and can damage the substrate, particularly on heat-sensitive materials. The holes also clear dust from the cut line, giving you better visibility of your marked line. Small detail, but it makes accurate cutting less of a squint.
This blade works for both wet and dry applications. Wet cutting with a floor saw or rail saw extends blade life significantly and controls dust, which matters more than ever with silica regulations tightening. Dry cutting with a petrol saw or angle grinder is still practical for smaller jobs where water supply is awkward, though expect faster wear.
Premium quality diamonds are used throughout the segment. Diamond quality affects how aggressively the blade cuts and how long it maintains that performance. Lower grade diamonds dull quickly or pull out of the bond matrix before they have done useful work. The PRO-X uses industrial grade diamonds sized and distributed for consistent exposure as the segment wears.
At 300mm diameter with a 20mm bore, this blade fits the standard mounting for most Stihl, Husqvarna and Makita petrol cut-off saws, as well as floor saws and rail saws using the same bore size. Check your machine specifications if you are unsure, but 20mm is the most common bore for this blade diameter in the UK market.
For contractors who cut a variety of materials and want a blade that handles the unexpected without needing a blade change, the PRO-X is a practical choice. It costs more than a basic masonry blade but lasts longer and cuts cleaner across a wider range of substrates. The continuous rim design gives peace of mind on site, and the cooling holes keep things running cooler when you are pushing through dense material.
Pro Tip: When dry cutting reinforced concrete, let the blade do the work rather than forcing it. Pushing too hard generates heat faster than the cooling holes can dissipate, which shortens blade life and can damage the segment bond.
