Fine Surface Filler – 600g

Fine surface filler is the go-to product for decorators and DIYers who want a smooth, paint-ready finish without reaching for the multi-finish plaster bag. This ready-to-use compound handles the everyday stuff: hairline cracks, shallow depressions, small nicks around window frames, skirting boards, architraves and general plasterwork. It’s water-based, low odour and flexible as it dries, which matters on surfaces that expand and contract slightly with temperature changes.

At 600g, the tub gives you enough material to work through a decent patch-up session before a repaint. The fine grade formula spreads cleanly with a standard filling knife and doesn’t require any mixing, so there’s no faff measuring ratios and no wasted material setting in a bucket. Where Fine Surface Filler Performs Best

This product is designed for interior use and fills up to 3mm per layer, which covers the vast majority of hairline and fine surface defects you’ll encounter on plasterwork, render, timber and masonry. For deeper repairs you’d be better off building up in stages or using a bonding filler first, but for the shallow stuff this handles it neatly in one pass.

Once cured, the repair sands back easily to a flat finish. It accepts both oil-based and water-based topcoats without bleed-through or adhesion issues, so you’re not restricted on what you paint over it. Setting time is around 30 minutes under normal conditions, which keeps the job moving without rushing you.
