Viper angled brad nails are 16 gauge galvanised nails designed for second fix work with cordless and pneumatic brad nailers. These are nail-only packs with no gas cell included, so they pair with any compatible gas or air-powered nailer you already have on site. The galvanised finish gives them decent corrosion resistance, making them a practical choice for both interior and exterior second fix applications where moisture could otherwise cause staining or nail failure over time.

The angled collation means they feed cleanly through angled magazine nailers, which are common in second fix trim and cladding work. Getting a consistent drive angle matters when you are fixing architrave, skirting, or mouldings close to a wall or corner, and the angled format makes those tighter spots far more manageable than a straight magazine would allow.

Where Viper Angled Brad Nails Fit Into Second Fix Work

Second fix nailers get used hard, and the nails need to keep up. These Viper brads are manufactured to a consistent gauge and length tolerance, which matters more than most people realise. Inconsistent nail stock is one of the more frustrating causes of misfeeds and jams, and nobody wants to be clearing a nailer magazine halfway through a run of skirting board.

The 16 gauge wire diameter gives a good balance between holding power and finish. Thinner 18 gauge pins are better for delicate trim where splitting is a concern, but for standard second fix timber work such as door casings, stair nosings, and window boards, 16 gauge angled brad nails give a more positive fix without splitting most materials.

Sizes run from 19mm up to 64mm, so there is a length suitable for most second fix tasks. Short 19mm and 25mm nails work well for thin beadings and delicate profiles. Mid-range 32mm to 38mm nails suit most standard architrave and skirting. The longer 45mm to 64mm nails are useful where you need to reach through thicker stock or engineered board products into a solid substrate behind.

Supplied in boxes of 2000, these are a straightforward trade buy for joiners, carpenters, and finishing contractors who go through nails regularly.

Pro Tip: Store opened nail packs in a dry box or sealed bag on site, even with galvanised nails. Damp nails can cause corrosion inside the nailer magazine and lead to feed problems that look like a tool fault but are actually a storage issue.
