HSS jigsaw blades for cutting thin sheet metals, aluminium, mild steel and plastic. Milled and side set teeth give a quick, fairly rough cut. High Speed Steel body handles the heat generated when cutting metal without losing its edge.

The T127D HSS metal jigsaw blades are designed for one job: cutting metal cleanly and quickly without burning through blades every five minutes. High Speed Steel holds its hardness at elevated temperatures, which matters when you’re pushing through mild steel, aluminium sheet or plastic where friction builds fast. These are a genuine working blade, not a weekend DIY throw-in.

At 100mm in length with a T-shank fitting, they’ll seat straight into the vast majority of modern jigsaws on site. T-shank has been the standard for years now, so compatibility is rarely an issue.

Where T127D HSS Metal Jigsaw Blades Get Used

The milled and side set (MSS) tooth configuration is worth understanding. Milling the teeth produces a consistent, sharp edge, and the side set gives the blade a kerf wide enough to stop it binding in the cut. The trade-off is that the finish is fairly rough rather than fine. That’s entirely appropriate for most metal cutting tasks on site, where you’re trimming sheet steel, knocking out apertures in metal panels, or working through aluminium sections. If you need a mirror finish, you’re probably reaching for a different tool entirely.

HSS is the right steel grade for this application. Bi-metal blades get more attention, but HSS blades at this price point do the job well on thinner stock and are perfectly serviceable for regular use. The body stays stiff enough to track a line without wandering, which is the main frustration with cheaper blades on metal.

Pack Size and Value

These come in packs of five, which is a sensible working quantity. Metal cutting blades wear faster than wood blades given the material hardness, so having spares to hand is just practical. Buying in bulk across multiple packs keeps the cost per blade low, which adds up quickly if you’re running a team or doing regular fabrication work.

For contractors cutting thin sheet metals, aluminium extrusions, steel panels or plastic on site, the T127D HSS metal jigsaw blades are a straightforward, dependable choice that won’t slow the job down.

Pro Tip: Always run your jigsaw at a higher speed setting with no orbital action when cutting metal with HSS blades, slow orbital cuts generate uneven heat and will dull the teeth far sooner than a clean high-speed pass.
