The T118A runs at 21 TPI with a 1.2mm tooth pitch and a 15mm cutting length. That fine tooth count is what keeps cuts clean and controlled in thin sheet — push a coarser blade through 1mm steel and you’ll know about it. The T118B drops to 13 TPI with a 2.0mm tooth pitch and a 50mm cutting length, giving you the gullet space to clear swarf properly in thicker sections without the blade loading up and stalling mid-cut.

Not suitable for: Not suitable for wood, MDF, or masonry — these are metal-specific blades and should not be used on other materials. The T118A is not suited to cutting steel or aluminium thicker than 2mm; use the T118B for anything above that.
Select the right variant before you start: T118A for thin sheet metal, stainless up to 2mm, or Perspex; T118B for steel from 3–6mm or aluminium up to 10mm. Fit the blade into your T-shank jigsaw with the machine unplugged, ensuring it clicks fully into the chuck.
Set your jigsaw to a lower speed when cutting stainless steel or non-ferrous metals — heat is the enemy of blade life. Mark your cut line clearly and let the blade do the work; excessive pressure will cause the blade to wander and shorten its life significantly. For curved cuts in thin sheet, the T118A's shorter cutting length and fine TPI give you decent manoeuvrability without tearing the edge.

Choose based on the thickness of material you're cutting — using the wrong variant will produce poor cuts and reduce blade life.
Will these blades fit my jigsaw?
