Expansion joint filler is one of those products that does a quiet but essential job. Get it wrong and you end up with cracked masonry, water ingress, or joints that look like an afterthought. These BRICKFILL polyethylene foam rolls give you a reliable, compressible fill that accommodates natural movement in the structure without failing over time.

The foam is made from closed-cell polyethylene, which keeps moisture absorption low. That matters on external walls and ground-level work where the joint is exposed to rain, ground water, or condensation. A filler that soaks up water will eventually degrade, compress unevenly, or create problems for the sealant applied on top. This one is designed to resist that from the start.

Where BRICKFILL Expansion Joint Filler Gets Used

These rolls are sized for brickwork and blockwork applications. The 100mm, 150mm, and 200mm widths correspond to common wall thicknesses and joint depths, so you are not cutting down a wider roll and wasting material on every run. Each roll is 10 metres, which covers a decent length of movement joint on a standard commercial or residential build.

The foam compresses cleanly when pushed into the joint, holds its position while the backing is in place, and gives the sealant a firm, consistent backing to bond against. It also acts as a bond breaker, stopping the sealant from adhering to the back of the joint and allowing it to move properly under load.

White or Cream: What Is the Difference?

White foam is the economy option and suits most standard applications. Cream foam offers better expansion and contraction performance and is the one to specify where the joint will see more significant or frequent movement. If you are not sure which to use, the cream is the safer choice for external or structural joints.

Other sizes are available to order if the standard stock sizes do not suit your specification.

Pro Tip: Always size the filler so it compresses by around 25 to 50 percent when fitted, which keeps it held firmly in place and gives the sealant on top the correct backing pressure to perform properly.
