Timco stainless steel countersunk screws in A2 grade are the go-to choice when corrosion resistance matters as much as holding strength. Built on the same proven design as the Timco Premium Classic multi-purpose woodscrew, these are manufactured in A2 stainless steel throughout — no coating, no compromise. If you are fixing in a coastal location, a wet environment, or into materials like green oak that will corrode standard steel over time, these are what you reach for.
The double countersunk head is a practical detail that makes a genuine difference. It reduces the risk of head shear under load and helps the screw seat cleanly into the surface without needing excessive torque. Combined with a 40-degree deep single thread, you get a secure fixing with solid pull-out resistance — useful when the fixing is load-bearing or in softer materials like chipboard and MDF.
Where Timco Stainless Steel Countersunk Screws Earn Their Keep
For longer lengths, Timco has added a single slash to screws from 25mm upwards. This reduces torque on the way in, which matters when you are working close to the edge of a board or a length of timber where splitting is a real risk. It is a small detail, but it saves headaches on site.
All sizes up to and including 75mm are fully threaded for maximum grip throughout the shank. From 80mm upwards, the thread runs 70mm from the tip, which is the standard approach for longer screws to allow timber to draw together properly during fixing.
The range covers diameters from 3.0mm through to 6.0mm and lengths from 12mm up to 150mm, so whether you are fitting decking, cladding, hardwood joinery or exterior fittings, there is a size that works. Available in boxes of 100 or 200 depending on size.
Pro Tip: When fixing into green oak or other tannic hardwoods, always pre-drill and countersink first — the timber moves considerably as it dries and A2 stainless is the minimum grade you should use to avoid the black staining that iron fixings leave behind.
