These end caps are fitted as the final step of a Rooftec dry verge installation, once the verge units have been run up to the ridge on both sides of the gable. The cap locates over the top of the last verge unit and up against the ridge tile, closing off the system at the apex.
Ensure the last verge unit is correctly seated and aligned before fitting the end cap. The cap should click or locate firmly into position without forcing. Check that there are no gaps between the end cap and the ridge tile face, as this is the point most exposed to driven rain. In exposed locations, a small amount of compatible low-modulus sealant around the back edge of the cap is worth considering as added insurance.
