The corner basin fixing bracket is one of those small parts that causes a disproportionate amount of grief on site. Smaller cloakroom basins and corner basins often have a narrow back strap with no large fixing hole — which means the standard wall bracket approach simply will not work. This set solves that problem cleanly, clamping directly onto the back strap rather than requiring a hole through it.

Each bracket is slotted for vertical adjustment, which is genuinely useful when walls are not perfectly level or the basin position needs fine-tuning during install. A small thing, but it saves a lot of cursing in a tight cloakroom.

What Comes in the Corner Basin Fixing Bracket Set

The set includes the brackets themselves, screws at 7 x 60mm, and nylon plugs sized for solid walls. That covers most standard installations without a trip back to the van. The screws will also go directly into timber with a small pilot hole first, so stud wall installations are covered as well. Everything you need in one pack, which at this price is hard to argue with.

Fixing Into Solid Walls and Timber

For solid masonry or blockwork, drill your holes, plug them with the supplied nylon plugs, and drive the screws home. Into timber, skip the plugs and just use a small pilot hole to avoid splitting. The bracket then clamps over the back strap of the basin and holds it firm against the wall. Tighten carefully — you are clamping onto ceramic, so you do not need to go full impact driver on it.

These are sold in pairs, which is the correct quantity for a single basin. Whether you are fitting a compact hand rinse basin in a downstairs loo or setting a corner basin into an awkward bathroom, this bracket set does the job without fuss. Stock a few sets if you are regularly installing sanitary ware — at under three pounds a pair, it makes sense.

Pro Tip: When tightening the clamping brackets onto the basin back strap, use a hand screwdriver for the final turns rather than a drill driver, as it is very easy to crack the strap on cheaper ceramic basins if you overtighten.
