T111C HCS jigsaw blades for straight, coarse cuts in softwood and plastic. High carbon steel body with milled and side set teeth for fast, aggressive cutting. Sold in packs of 5.
The T111C HCS wood jigsaw blades are a staple on any site where speed matters more than a polished finish. High carbon steel construction gives these blades solid strength at lower working temperatures, making them dependable for the kind of rough cutting that takes up most of the day — breaking down timber, trimming sheet material, cutting back plastic pipe runs. The T111C designation is a widely recognised shank fitting, compatible with the vast majority of jigsaws you are likely to have in the van.
Milled and side set teeth — MSS for short — are ground and offset in a way that clears waste material quickly from the cut. The result is a fast, coarse cut that gets through softwood without dawdling. It is not a finish blade, and it is not trying to be. If you need clean edges, there are blades for that. If you need to rip through a length of studwork timber or cut a panel down to rough size, this is exactly what you reach for.
Where T111C HCS Jigsaw Blades Get Used
These blades turn up on first fix carpentry jobs, timber frame builds, fencing work, and anywhere sheet goods need cutting to approximate size before further trimming. Site joiners use them for rough dimensioning. Roofers and groundworkers keep a few in the tool bag for cutting timber noggins or packing pieces without overthinking blade selection. The plastic cutting capability is useful too — conduit, pipe lagging, and light plastic sheet all cut cleanly enough at this spec.
A Note on Blade Life
HCS blades work well in wood and soft plastic but they are not suited to harder materials. Push them into MDF all day and they will blunt faster than a T-shank bi-metal alternative. For pure softwood and clean plastic cuts, though, the value-to-performance ratio on a five-pack like this is hard to argue with. At this price, buying in bulk just makes sense — you are never going to be the person who stops a job to hunt for a blade.
Pro Tip: For a straighter cut in softwood, let the blade do the work rather than forcing the saw forward — too much feed pressure causes the blade to flex and wander, especially near the end of the cut.
