Multi Tool Radial Blade – Wood – 87mm

An 87mm radial wood blade for oscillating multi tools. The flat side lets you cut flush against a surface, making it ideal for undercutting skirting boards, door trims and tight corners where a standard blade simply cannot reach.

Credit Plans Available

The 87mm wood multi tool radial blade is one of those accessories that earns its keep the moment you need to undercut a skirting board or trim a door architrave flush to the floor. Standard semi-circular blades are excellent for general cuts, but when your work surface is the reference point and you need to cut right along it without lifting off, a radial blade is what you reach for. That flat edge runs parallel to whatever you’re cutting against, giving you clean, controlled removal in spots that would otherwise mean reaching for a hand saw and losing time.

The 87mm cutting width is well suited to skirting boards, dado rails, flooring trims and similar timber work. It’s the sort of blade you’ll use when laying laminate or engineered flooring and the door casing needs undercutting so the boards slide neatly underneath. It also comes into its own when removing old trim without dragging the blade across an adjacent plastered wall. The geometry of the radial design does the work for you.

Where the 87mm Wood Radial Blade Gets Used

On site, this blade turns up most often in finishing trades. Flooring installers use it constantly. Carpenters fitting second fix joinery will keep one in the bag as a matter of habit. It cuts through softwood and the common hardwood timbers used in skirting and trim without complaint, and because the oscillating action is controlled and low-vibration compared to a reciprocating saw, there’s a lot less mess and risk of collateral damage to surrounding surfaces.

Compatibility Across Multi Tool Brands

This blade is designed to fit the wide range of oscillating multi tools you’ll find on any job site. Bosch, Milwaukee, AEG, Einhell, Fein Multimaster, Ridgid, Rockwell, Skil, Black and Decker, Craftsman, Macallister and Mastercraft are all covered, along with many other multi-function oscillating tools. The universal fitment means you’re not tied to one brand’s accessory range, which is useful when you’re working across a mixed kit setup or buying blades in for a crew.

At this price, it makes sense to keep a couple spare. Blades used for flush cutting do take more lateral stress than standard plunge cuts, so having a replacement on hand avoids the job stopping mid-trim. For tradespeople running multi tools day to day, the 87mm wood radial blade is a small cost with a disproportionately useful result.

Pro Tip: When undercutting door casings for flooring, lay a scrap piece of your flooring material flat on the floor and rest the multi tool on top of it to set the exact cutting height before you start.
