Bond It Lead Pro is a hybrid lead flashing sealant built for the full range of roofing work — not just tidy repairs in dry weather, but the sort of awkward, damp, mid-job fixes that roofers actually deal with day to day. The hybrid polymer formula gives you a fast-skinning sealant that stays flexible after curing, handles movement without cracking, and holds up against UV exposure, ozone and heat over the long term.
It bonds to lead, aluminium, copper, uPVC, steel, timber, slate, tiles, industrial roofing panels, GRP, acrylic and glass. It will also bond to bitumen surfaces, though a primer is needed there first. That covers the vast majority of materials you’ll encounter across domestic and commercial roofing, which makes it a sensible one-tube solution rather than a shelf full of different products for different substrates.
Where Bond It Lead Pro Gets Used on Site
On a typical pitched roof job, this gets used to seal flashing joints, reduce tile lift, and quiet down any areas prone to wind noise. For flat roofing, it works well around roof lights, mechanical fixings and cladding overlaps. It’s equally at home sealing sub-roof ducting and penetrations from the inside, which is useful when external access is limited or weather isn’t cooperating.
The sealant is also suitable for solar panel installations — specifically for sealing around mounting fixings and flashings on solar energy systems, where long-term weatherproofing around dissimilar materials matters.
Low Odour, Solvent-Free Formula
The EC1+ certified, very low emissions formula makes it more practical for occupied or poorly ventilated spaces than traditional solvent-based products. Internal use on ducting and roof voids is far more comfortable for the person doing the work. It’s paintable once cured, so cosmetic finishing isn’t an issue on visible areas.
This hybrid lead flashing sealant is supplied in a standard cartridge format and applies easily with a skeleton or barrel gun. Non-shrinking, flexible after cure, and CE approved — it does what it says, without drama.
Pro Tip: When applying to bitumen surfaces, always use an appropriate primer first and allow it to fully dry before gunning the sealant, otherwise adhesion will be significantly reduced regardless of how well you prep the joint.
