The galvanised panel fencing clip is one of those small fixings that earns its keep. If you have ever watched a fence panel shift and settle over winter because it was just slotted in and hoped for the best, these clips are the answer. They hold fence panels and trellis firmly in position against timber posts, and they will screw just as happily into plugged and drilled masonry when a timber post is not part of the picture.

Each clip is galvanised, which matters outdoors. A bare steel clip in a fence post is going to rust through in a season or two, taking the panel with it in some cases. The galvanised coating gives these a proper service life in exposed conditions, whether the fence is catching the full weather off an open field or sitting in a reasonably sheltered back garden.

Where Galvanised Panel Fencing Clips Get Used

The clips work by gripping the edge of the panel and securing it to the post face, stopping lateral movement without the panel needing to be nailed directly into the frame. This makes installation quicker and also means panels can be lifted out individually if one gets damaged, rather than dismantling an entire run of fencing. On a long garden boundary that is a genuine time saver, both at install and further down the line.

For masonry applications, plug the wall first, then screw the clip in position before offering the panel up. Standard practice, nothing unusual required. On timber posts, a couple of screws per clip is all it takes.

At 100 clips per box, there is enough here to get a reasonable run of fencing completed without needing to reorder mid-job. For fencing contractors working on multiple sites or anyone speccing out a larger boundary project, the box quantity makes sense from a cost and logistics point of view. They are the kind of fixing that sits in the van and earns its space.

Pro Tip: When fixing to masonry, use a 7mm plug and position the clip before you offer the panel up, trying to clip and drill simultaneously with a panel in the way is a three-handed job.
