Single-component polyurethane adhesive foam for bonding insulation panels, plasterboard, and decorative elements. Ready to use straight from the can, works on walls and roofs, and cures fast enough to keep your day moving.
Soudabond Easy adhesive foam is a ready-to-use, single-component expanding polyurethane adhesive designed for bonding insulation boards, plasterboard, dry lining, and lightweight decorative elements to walls, roofs, and facades. One can, no mixing, no mess — just a clean bead of adhesive that expands slightly, grips fast, and stays flexible long after it has cured. If you have ever spent twenty minutes mixing adhesive only to watch it slump off a vertical surface, this is a better option.
The foam has been developed with installation efficiency in mind. It offers a very good initial tack even at low temperatures, and can be applied when ambient conditions drop as low as -5°C, provided the can itself is kept above 5°C. That matters on early starts in autumn and winter when traditional adhesives become sluggish and uncooperative. One 750ml can covers approximately 12 square metres of insulation panel, applied in three beads per metre, which makes it genuinely economical on larger runs.
Where Soudabond Easy Adhesive Foam Earns Its Place
The limited post-expansion characteristic is worth understanding. Unlike general-purpose foam that keeps moving after application, this product is formulated to stay close to where you put it. That means panels can be positioned accurately without fighting the foam, and on flat roofs or board installations you can typically continue work within an hour of application. For plasterers bonding dry lining to masonry, that kind of turnaround is significant.
Adhesion is excellent across a wide range of substrates: concrete, brick, stone, timber, plasterboard, phenolic foam, polystyrene, PU-based panels, and more. It is solvent-free, CFC-free, and HCFC-free, so it is safe to use in enclosed spaces without the same ventilation concerns you would have with solvent-based alternatives. The foam also enhances the thermal performance of insulation panels by sealing the gaps at the edges, rather than just holding the board in place.
It does not rot or degrade over time, though it should be covered with paint or plaster if it will be left exposed to UV. Standard stuff, but worth knowing before you leave a bead visible on an outdoor facade.
Pro Tip: Warm the can to at least 15°C before use on cold days — a lukewarm bucket of water for five minutes does the job and gives you noticeably better flow and initial grab.
