Shake the can well before use and ensure it is at least 5°C throughout — warmer is better in cold conditions. Fit the applicator nozzle, then apply continuous beads directly to the substrate or the back of the board. Three beads per metre is the standard rate for insulation panels. Press the panel into position firmly and hold briefly; the foam grips quickly and limited post-expansion keeps the board where you put it.
Work can typically resume within an hour on flat roof applications, or boards can be skimmed and plastered once the surface skin has fully formed. Any excess foam that squeezes out at the edges can be trimmed with a blade once cured.

Can I use Soudabond Easy adhesive foam to fix polystyrene insulation boards directly to brick?
Yes. The foam bonds well to both polystyrene and brick without damaging the EPS surface, which some solvent-based adhesives can do. Apply beads to the back of the board, press it firmly into place, and you are done. Three beads per metre gives you the coverage and bond strength needed for most standard insulation thicknesses.
How long before I can plaster over boards fixed with Soudabond Easy?
In typical conditions, the foam cures sufficiently within one hour for work to continue. That includes plastering over fixed boards. Cooler temperatures will slow the cure slightly, so in cold conditions give it a little extra time before applying any skim coat.
