An end feed fitting reducer is one of those fittings you’ll reach for constantly once you start running mixed-size pipework. Whether you’re dropping from 22mm down to 15mm on a domestic system or stepping down from 35mm on a commercial ring main, these copper reducers give you a clean, soldered joint every time. WRAS approved throughout, so you’re covered for potable water applications without having to think twice.
These fittings are manufactured to the standard you’d expect for end feed copper work. The socket depth is consistent, the bore finish is clean, and the copper wall thickness holds up properly during soldering. Unlike some cheaper fittings that can leave you with a dry joint when the solder wicks unevenly, these give you the right amount of internal clearance to seat the pipe and get the solder flowing properly around the whole joint.
End Feed Fitting Reducer Sizes and Options
The range covers the most common reduction steps you’ll come across on site: 15x8mm, 15x10mm, 22x15mm, 28x15mm, 28x22mm, 35x22mm, and 35x28mm. Long tail variants are available in the smaller sizes where you need a bit more pipe engagement, particularly useful when working in tight spots or when you need to make a soldered joint close to a wall or joist.
Available individually or in boxes of 25, which makes more sense if you’re pricing up a job with a lot of pipe size transitions. Buying in quantity keeps the cost down considerably and means you’re not sending someone to the merchant halfway through the job because you ran short.
These end feed reducers work with standard copper pipe and are compatible with lead-free solders used in modern plumbing installations. Clean the pipe and fitting bore properly before fluxing, and these will give you a reliable joint first time.
Pro Tip: Always flux both the pipe end and the inside of the fitting socket before assembly, not just one or the other. On reducers especially, where two different bore diameters are in play, missing the flux on the smaller end is a common cause of dry joints.
