A polyester resin chemical anchor is one of those products that does a straightforward job without any drama. You drill, clean, inject, insert and wait. The resin cures around the bolt, rod or rebar and locks it into the substrate with a mechanical and chemical bond that a standard expansion anchor simply cannot match. That is the reason this type of fixing has become standard practice for structural and heavy-duty applications across the trade.

This cartridge-format polyester chemical anchor resin is suitable for use in concrete, solid brick and blockwork, and natural stone. It works with standard mixing nozzles and dispenses through a dual-cartridge system, which keeps the two components separate right up until the moment they meet in the nozzle. No mess, no guesswork on ratios, no waste from incorrectly hand-mixed resin. The mixed resin is injected directly into the drilled hole before the threaded rod or rebar is inserted and rotated into position.

Where Polyester Chemical Anchor Resin Is Used on Site

Chemical anchoring is used across a wide range of construction and civil engineering work. Overhead fixings, facade brackets, balustrade posts, structural steelwork connections, railing systems, safety barriers and staircase stringers are all applications where a through-bolt or expansion anchor is either not viable or not strong enough. Chemical anchors are also the go-to solution when working close to the edge of a concrete slab or column, where the expansion force of a mechanical anchor would risk splitting the substrate.

Polyester resin specifically is a cost-effective option for most standard applications. It is not the right choice for flooded holes or permanently wet environments, but for dry and damp conditions in typical construction and structural work, it performs well and cures quickly, getting you back on the tools without a long wait.

Available in 300ml, 380ml, 400ml and 410ml cartridge sizes, so you can match the pack to the scale of the job rather than buying more than you need.

Pro Tip: Always blow and brush the drilled hole at least twice before injecting resin, loose dust and debris are the most common cause of anchor failure, and no amount of extra resin will compensate for a dirty hole.
